Ophiopogon intermedius 'Argenteomarginatus'
Variegated green and silver foliage. A tough, easy edging for paths and borders.
|Sun · Partial shade|
It is used as ground cover for large areas, as an edging for paths and planters, on slopes to hold the soil, in containers and in low-maintenance gardens. Mass-planted it creates a uniform carpet that replaces lawn where grass struggles.
On our farm in Poás we grow Liriope Super Blue (blue-green foliage and lavender flowers), Liriope Ever Green (dark green and very vigorous) and Liriope Aztec Grass (variegated green and silver foliage).
Both. Liriope grows in full sun, partial shade and shade. In full sun it flowers more; in shade it keeps a deeper green foliage.
No. Simply remove dry or damaged leaves once a year to refresh the foliage.
Depending on the variety, between 20 and 45 cm tall. Liriope Ever Green can reach 60 cm in ideal conditions.
